STUG 3 C/D - EASTERN FRONT(Frankenstein build)

Brokeneagle

Master at Arms
I will give this one a try with a mix of old bits (un-built)to create a knocked out C/D version in the EAST for the Dr John's Stug build.
- I need to cull back the old models that have been scavenged for parts over the years.

The mix of parts will be from:
- Stug F (Dragon)
- MK 3 J (Dragon)
- Stug 3 g early (Tamiya)
- Mk 3 H (Dragon)
And so begins the creation of Frankenstein's monster..... :ro: :hmmm
I spent a while researching my options of what I could create with what I had. I decided to go with a C/D version.
I have not built this version before so it's a goer for my collection!

Progress update

Holidays are wonderful - I can actually get some models built with all this time.

I have had my eye on a weird C/D model waiting for the right time, and this seems to be it.
April 1945 East Prussia (Speilberger stug 3) I also found the same tank in a photo from another angle in another ref (Tank Power Vol. 14)
Obviously something strange -C/D model with a Saukopf mantlet 75mm gun mounted.

I began the many 'mods' I needed to make this one a runner as a C/D model

Wow! Can't just take one out of the box and put it together can ya? :rotf

Great work Ian, looking forward to this :popcorn

MP, Thanks mate, I always end up adding or modifying. Keeps it interesting after 45 years......but also slows me down.

I have known Ian almost 10 years, I cannot remember one instance of an OOTB build... :geek

Has it been that long since the early Planet Armor days?.....so it has.
It's been a pleasure though Mr Steinman - seen you do a lot of great models with that slick style and finish that is recognisably JS.

Thanks Mr T, Ron, Mike and Luiz.

I've been doing a lot of work on this so more progress very soon and thanks for watching :coolio

Ian.
