Hi All.
Could somebody help me, I am looking for a Pontos Model 1/200 Bismarck 1941 Ultimate "Advanced" Detail-Up Set for Trumpeter and I can only find it available in Australia or Korea, Will I be charged import duties when I receive in it England and if I do get charged how much will it be.
Many thanks

I have used MK1 for my 1/200 Bismarck and it was really good. As for sending stuff from Oz to England ... sent many things via Australia Post, paid all fees here only to be told by inlaws that Royal Mail wanted them to pay more custom tax, otherwise they won't get the parcels. Frustrating as hell.
Welcome aboard Danny, how about an introduction from you on the forum?

Welcome to MA! Looking forward to seeing your builds. Be sure to ask any questions you might have, we have some of the most helpful folks around.
Hey gang, just joined last nite. New guy from Winnipeg, CANADA. Belong to MMB Manitoba Model Builders, and we hold workshops out of HobbySense here in the 'Peg. Since Covid we have not help workshops but continue to exchange tips, tricks, advice, etc. Got the nudge to join from a fellow builder who knows the admin chaps, and thought it would be a nice add-on to a good knowledege base. Good to be here.

Stay safe

I missed this post earlier. Winnipeg is my old stomping grounds. Moved to BC about 16 years ago. Still have family in the Peg so I go back often. I was sad to see Cellar Dweller had closed last time I was there but Hobby Sense is a great store. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
I finally get to go back to work Monday. Been out sick with Covid now for 2 weeks and a day. Still get a bit tired easily and my smeller is still a bit on the fritz, but it is coming back.

I thought maybe that was you. I'm on Agape as well but there's not much traffic there.

That's one of the reasons that I left there.

Getting an extra hour of sleep by turning the clocks back in 2020 is like getting a bonus track on a Yoko Ono album.
I thought you said this was a Bf-108 but yours is the 109. Oh well thanks anyway.

I have the 108 as well but have not done much more than look at the cockpit on it. I thought you had the 109 kit. Oh well, enjoy Paul! It was good seeing you at the meeting!

You too my friend.
Paul, here is a link to the Bf-109 I am building. I would really suggest making the spar as it really strengthens the wing and sets the dihedral properly. There might be a few other things you might find in my build.

Here's the link:
