Re: "PATCHED UP PANTHER""UPDATE #8"PEELING PAINT"

Update time! The tracks are done. Well there assemblied anyway. I think they have the right sag. Next I went to work on the rear bulkhead and the thought of trying to make peeling paint on the exhaust. Here are some pictures of the progress so far. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

Peeling the paint.
Step one: Paint the exhaust red brown

Step two: Cover with Bare Metal foil. A technique I picked up here.

DSC05727.JPG

Step three and four: Paint the exhaust the base color (dark yellow in the case.) and then take a knife and remove part of the foil.

Step five: Next I weathered with pastels.

BareMetal foil is self adhesive. Very low tack. You can use it to mask aircraft canopies.

Re: "PATCHED UP PANTHER""UPDATE #9""TRACKS"

Last night I worked on the tracks and the upper hull. I painted the tracks with enamel paints Burnt Sienna and a few drops of British crimson for the base coat. Now the weathering can begin. Here are some pictures of the progress. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.
