P-38J "MISS ANN" VIII Fighter Command Night Intruder Trials Detachment

When i built my P38 last month i did as bob said, fitted it and broke it off within an hour :)
I think there's a market for brass antenna. I shaped one out of some stock a while back. I forget what aircraft it was.

Miss Ann has been patiently waiting for her photo shoot to show off her paint scheme. This was brush painted using Vallejo Model Air colors, Medium Sea Grey for the upper surface and Dark Blue Grey for the lower surfaces. RAF "Night" was a very dark blue and this gives a bit of difference between it and the straight Black on the props and Tire Black on the wheels.

The turbo-superchargers started with a coat of aluminum followed by a series of black, dark brown, rust and light orange thin washes and dry brushing to build up the characteristic burnt metal look and still keep the metallic look. A few details were picked out with a drybrush of aluminum followed by a matt coat.
