Hey Everybody,
Here is Cyberhobby/Dragon's Flak-Panther(#6626). It was a One-Off Vehicle cobbled together by the Armor smiths of the 653rd. Jag.Abtl. They took an Out Dated Berge-Panther D and added a Flak-vierling 38. Although there are no pictures of this Vehicle it IS mentioned in a book By Karl-Heinz Munch - Combat History of the 653rd. It also shows a silhouette of the Vehicle at the start of a Chapter where He runs down the Vehicle history During the late Summer of '44. I will note that while you may come across a picture claiming to be this Vehicle online, it is in fact a Photo-Shopped version.
Here is a Picture of one of the 653rd.s Berge D's. It could in fact be the One that ended up as the Flak version ???
I will be using this , Some of you may remember this ,as it was posted as a Review. For a W.I.P. on this look here - http://www.tanksandthings.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=339:gun-shieldsupper-gun-shields-for-ww-ii-german-2cm-flak-vierling38&catid=56:griffon-models-
The road wheels almost finished.
Here is the Usual P.E. that is included with the Dragon kit.
Now what Dragon doesn't tell you in the instructions - The Ausf. D's had 2 head lights. There are 2 head lights included in the Kit. Also if you look on th upper hull, on the R.O.'s side you can faintly see an indentation where another light might go. I drilled this spot out & placed the Second light in.
I will post more as it gets done !!
