Okay, Boys -N- Girls,
I had a thought, (might have been a brain fart, some days it's hard to tell the difference!!!)
I am sure all of you are familiar with the Merkava main battle tank. You know those "dog tag chains?". Why couldn't you combine the two, for those anti missle balls hanging off the turret?

Gene's hittin' the Eggnog... :mpup

I have no idea what you're talking about without hitting google...I defer to others who do know.

I'm going for the eggnog..

I am familiar with the Chariot and the dangling balls with chains are designed as a curtain of protection. What is it you want to combine it with?

Do you want to paint a Merkava Dark Brown, its gun like a spliff/doobie/joint, and make the curtains into its Black dreadlocks? But, where do you paint the eyes?

Crap, my eggnog lacks Nog (rum).

Regards,

Gene,

Actually, after a shot each of my Belvedere & Grey Goose vodka, chased with some Bacardi rum, I get what you are suggesting.

You were asking a serious modeling question but not expressing it in a sober language. :D

The dog tag chains you find are little metal spheres whereas the Merkava is a chain with a heavy cast ball at the end. Using the dog tag chains for the chain and ball armor would not work visually.

Erik,

Thanks for the music! I still listen to "No woman, no Pain" as it is what it is...

Regards,

I think a fine chain wth tiny lead sinkers would work better Gene. It would be hard to combine the chain and one of the balls from a dog tag chain. Not impossible, but hard.

Hi Gene, all nog-ing aside.... I'm with James. I usually look for inexpencive neckless's at the Kmarts/Walmarts. I've got a growing pile of the pendants and such in the junk drawer :cheer: with that said it has to be the right chain. Some are stamped flat and have a square-ish shape, no good.
My favorite places to look for potential scratchbuilding supply's is Hobby Lobby's, Michael's, etc. This is where you might find beads small enough for what your talking about (y)
Now where did I put MY drink.......
