Hi Mike, Wow!!!!

A 1/32nd scale B-17! I never thought I'd see that! Now I'm really interested! What are they getting for a kit like that these days?

I've just got too much to finish now, but I'd love to build one. I'll be watching you build yours!

Bob

Cool stuff. I have the B-25 but never really got into the B-17. When the Lancaster is released though that will be a must have.Watching with interest :popcorn

Bob I think it is in the $280 range. Depends on where you get it from. Have the G version HK put out several years ago but have been a bit slow to do it as it is the real late war version with the Chyenne tail gunner unit. A lot of the G series actually had the earlier stinger type like the "Belle" had.

Definitely a large model though the PBY is a bit bigger.

Thanks Guys,

Yes the B17 was around $290 with free shipping at Lucky model and I jumped on the offer.

The plan is finish the famo, have a break, build some small vehicles and then go to the Belle.
Looks like HK Models are going to release a Junkers Ju52 before the Lancaster and I can see an instant diorama with a bus and a snow plow coming to mind. :good: :cheer:

The image below is what caught my attention while scrolling through recent show images.

Instantly I had the glimpse of a "Where Eagles Dare" Dio coming to mind :good: :good: :cheer:

Thanks Guys for your comments. They are very much appreciated. :v

Been awhile since last posting and back again with a small update to the Sdkz9 Famo tractor. It's 95% done with the addition of adding the clearance markers on the fenders and the latch's on the tail gate. More detail work to be done around all of the Tractor.
The windscreen has been proved by far the hardest to get together in the whole build.I shaved off the windscreen wipers and used aber wipers with Edward latch's on the front windscreen.Way easier to work with than Abers's multiple hinge parts.

That looks really great, Michael! The depth of color and all the tones makes this build really stand out!
