Now comes the fun part with painting! Paint first and when I get the tracks on I'll start weathering. Last part will be rigging that cable, which I really don't know how the hell I'm going to do that because the pulleys do not allow to be fully rigged. :facepalm

Oh yeah, that exhaust stack

How that look for girth?

Great stuff Bob!

Did the kit come with cable? Is it actual cable or the string stuff? I found some nice scale cable in the beading section of AC Moore that I use for all that sort of stuff...

It is string but good quality and tight turns, should look good for the scale. The problem with the stuff from AC Moore is we have some tight angles to work in like the block and tackle on the blade, don't think the bends would look natural.

You ain't got a hair! Jeff yo could really do a lot with this thing, I question the way they have some of the PE, especially the stuff for the pulleys, it could have been much better.

Dad was in HQ 7th ID, 31st BN, around Kuwan (think that's the spelling) which is now inside the DMZ summer of '52 till Dec '52. You know where Cousin Willard was?

Not yet. I just found his obituary. I'll be looking on Ancestry later on & see what I can find out tho (y) Need to find my login info for Fold3 and look there as well.... :hmmm

Found my Fold3 login info & didn't see anything on cousin WIllard. :bang head Seems several others were also over there. Several in the Army playin' with heavy artillery & another was a Marine B)

You're doin' a great job on this dozer Bob. YOur dad would be proud :drinks (y)

Looking really good MP. Really like that blade/ As for rigging I guess drill holes to feed cable into or go whole hog and make your own pullies.

Ugliness has a beauty all it own Bob :drool I see those older things and think back to the good old days and simpler times, moments such as " :smack keep your fingers outta the damn fan shutters or you'll lose em"... then I get up out of my bucket seat and walk back into my bunk, adjust the air-conditioning......sigh...
