Military Bulldozer X3

Military Bulldozer

Nicejob thar Bob. (y) Ya might wanna look at some Ammo boxes and see if they'd work for tool boxes...

Military Bulldozer

Nice add ons MP! :good:

I would just scratch that tool box. Looks pretty simple. Large square strip, cut to length, shape the edges, then wrap .010 X .040 strip around the top outside, putty those edges if needed and your done. (y)

Starting to look like a Dozer

.

As I mentioned maybe the Mk IV or Mk V tracks would do. Fruil is ATL-160. Or you could try Takom like these

Look close and with mud you wont notice the litening holes not being there.
Let me know the size of track shoe and I will measure the Takom set for you.

Yup.... Doctor's orders :rotf that's what I would do .

Thanks James, think I'm going with plan A. Those tracks have a curved grip, the Cat ones have a very sharp blade, that's too much difference between them, especially if I'm going to be showing this thing.

Thanks guys, will work on it this weekend. :soldier

Coming right along dude ... looking very good .... :eek:ldguy Nice job on the details ... I just lost a good friend yesterday who was a Dozer driver .... He's got a new Cat now ... :soldier :( :( (y)

Well on the last two sprues of tracks I figured out how to make them work better. Drill out the connecting holes on the track links. Gives much more play in the track so you can position better. Lays flat and straight now.

So now, how to go back and correct the other tracks? kinda hard to drill on an angle with it all assembled.

Military Bulldozer

Use those on the bottom of the run, cover the imperfections with mud/dirt. (y)

I was warned about that...Some judge might think I'm hiding something, in this case he might be right! Think I got them, not as good as the last two runs but they will work I think.

how about the business end of this bad boy!?

Checked again, the tool box does look right, I was looking at the wrong part thinking it was the tool box. Yes, arm rest are coming.
Whatchall think, that look about the right size for the muffler?

Did a slight modification to the kit part. On the air cleaner/breather, I can see in the picture that the tear dropped shape thing is cocked to the side, the kit part had it coming straight back in line with the tractor. I moved it 90 degrees to the right, I think they did that to clear the water trap (think that's what that part is that hangs down) out of the way of the levers.

And WTF happened up front?! I'll try to get that put back in place.

Judges cannot judge what they cannot see and if they do, the contest isn't worth going to. Blade looks swell, tell us how you did it. Muffler is too tall and not fat enough. Must add girth.

Couldn't comment on the 'muffler question' but the overall progress is excellent, Bob.

The dozer blade is nothing but Humbrol 27003, Polished Steel. I'm going to seal it then do the hairspray technique on it for scrapped off paint. NEVER seen a dozer blade that had paint on it, unless they were brand new and my Dad never bought a piece of heavy equipment brand new.

Yep, looking back at the original photo muffler is way to thin, not worried about the height yet.
