You know Miniart made Lulubelle? https://miniart-models.com/product/35274-m3-lee-mid-prod-sahara-w-crew/It's me again. Yep, been thinking on this and after seeing some of the parts that are included on the other various kits from Miniart I've changed my plans on this one.
This will not be Lullubelle! this will be one of the M3 from the "Carolina Maneuvers" using the kit markings. Instead of trying to adapt what I have to the mid version Lee that Lullubelle was, I've already ordered Miniart kit 35209. It has the external square air cleaners and duck bill tail pipes. I'll scavenge the grouser boxes off the Academy kit.
This one will be finished because I want to see where the pit falls are further down the line.
Yes the Grouser boxes...Grousers! You must have proper grouser boxes!!
I didn't realize how many different M3 variants there were.
No I didn't, not sure why it stalled. Everytime Eric comes up he's eyeballin' it though.Wow!! Looks great. BTW did you ever finish your King Tiger? Gary S.
Yeah they were brand new from what I'm reading so I'm going to make sure the OD is pretty fresh. That being said they would not be showroom museum finishes, they spend all their time outside and traversing red clay roads of North and South Carolina. Not to mention a train ride down from the Aberdeen.Would the peace time vehicle have gotten better care/upkeep, I wonder?
Just a simple Tamiya brown wash, I use black wash on lower levels. That looks spot on Bob, love the weathering round the rivets.
That's even better because it shows you dont have to be leonardo da vinci's apprentice to get great resultsJust a simple Tamiya brown wash, I use black wash on lower levels.
