Bomber Command II

That new tool Do 17 is really nice Luiz, if we lived a bit closer I would send you the one I have ! As yet another option, I recently acquired a set of Mike Grant's decals for the strawberry female dog which means I would need to build the kit declared as "unworthy to build" for all its shape errors by he who scribbles red lines on others photos.

My dream for this campaign is a Dornier Do 17 from Airfix , new tooling :eek:ldguy ... Unfortunately I do not have it yet... :idonno

Luiz

Is that what you plan on building Luiz ? I have one that's ready to be built but it's not a problem as there are plenty of other options.

Cheers, Christian

The B-24 ? There seems to be a lot of negative comments floating around about all of them.

Glad I don't have scale plans to slow me down :frantic

:rotf I don't think we have to worry about photos with red lines drawn all over them.

OK I'll get the forums setup for Oct start. I'll be on the road a lot in the next several weeks so I might as well get things lined up now.

Ian yeah, Bomber Command ribbon with II will work fine.

Yeah Christian, the Monogram B-24. Some of the shape issues even I can see but they don't bother me a bit. If I do build it will end up being a gift to my Brother and he could care even less about shape errors than I do.

I understand the posts I see ( when well illustrated ) but even all Spitfires are maligned by some > No one is ever happy.

Although I like for my finished product to resemble the real item, I find myself more than happy that I never started buying blueprints and laying models on top to verify it's looks .
I would never get anything finished and certainly stay unhappy with my hobby .

If it looks like a Duck and sounds like one I can have fun . That is also the reason I have yet to build that large F-4 .

The more I think about this bomber build, the more conflicted I get.

Right now, I'm debating between the HE 111 , a Blenheim MK IV and the Hudson ( which will be tricky ) of course there was the DO 17 that Luiz would like to build . . . :frantic AHHHHHHH !

Bombers Campaign

I think I might again test the modeling waters with a Russian PE-2 or an A-20 Havoc. Always wanted to do one of those

Part of why I don't hang out at one of the other popular sites too much anymore. Too many people trying to show their superiority by trying to make others look bad. Don't see any of that behavior here at MA! A credit to you all! (Sorry - i'll get off my soap box now  )

Glad you feel that way Mike . I just can't enjoy that much drama myself :(

Oh by the way, I thought we had an orange crate . Much bigger than a soap box :rotf

Cheers, Christian B)

Sorry I think I broke the crate

There might have been too many of us Dave :rotf You know I don't mind complaining when there is a valid reason. :vmad

Roger that! (y) I got banned from one of them sites quite awhile back :eek:hyeah

There are a couple of sites I won't visit again except on rare occasions. Love this site and the folks on it are really great folks.

Followed Chukw here from another forum and have not regretted it. It has mostly given my hobby back to me. Where as I had not really been into modelling for years.
