Looks fantastic so far. I can't remember what it is about the kit, but there are some issues. I think it's the engine cowling does not fit properly over the engine. If you Google it you might find workarounds.

That's exactly what I'm hitting. I test fitted the cowl and it just looks wonky.

I have the flat wire from RB productions. I didn't get the connectors they offered but I'm thinking about brass tube somehow. they didn't have turnbuckles like the other subjects did.
thanks for that Paddy, I got some photos of the same aircraft when I visited years ago.

I did some test fit on the nose and I can see how it can go sideways pretty quickly. You have to make sure the motor mates up with the engine bearers in the nose plumb and square then the radiator assembly squares things up even more. The way the fuselage halves bulge will cause issues if you just trust it, it should have had more positive bracing up there. I'm trying to see if I can install the radiator assembly first then slip the motor in. But when it was all dry fitted and squared up the engine cowl just dropped right in no problem.
And you konw all that goes out the window when you apply glue.

Glad you got it figured out. Your right about the gluing. It's one of the rules of modeling. Gary S.
