O.K. after a little delay, & some adjustment. I've added the 1st. round of Highlights to My figure.
The Early Plain Tree reversible Smock - for highlights I dry brushed the base - German Pale Brown
The Trousers : Painted with Vallejo Field Grey + Dark Green, Highlighted with Base mix + German Camo Beige. Regular Vallejo beige will work too, the German Beige was what I had on hand.
I also plan to wash into th shadows Sepia Oil paint
Hmmm :hmmm Now that I look at it .. I'm not too happy with th Helmet cover ... I just might repaint th whole thing ? I was going for a very worn look ? :idonno Maybe I got too excited with th Dry brushing ....:pinch:

Looks very good Erik,
I think youve captured the camo quite well and have lightighted the trousers very well indeed
Good painting on the leather aticles too
I do agree a bit over the top on the old dry brushing as it seems to have knocked out some of the good camo on the edges on the smock and OTT on the cover too Id try and repaint that
What I would do is Id paint that in a different camo scheme altogether it would make the figure pop out
Great looking figure though mate top notch

D'OH ! :pinch: Heavy handed on th Dry brushing .... Arrrgh :evil: !!! I can fix it with out having to re-paint th whole thing .....

forget about the helmet cover ... dirt happens in war and one rarely sees dirt resistant soldiers on the battlefield!

O.K. after lookin' at it again, I've decided to re-paint th smock & helmet cover.
All paint is Vallejo & the Flesh is done in Oil ......
