Small update -
After some surgery on the base to allow me to move the wall further to the right to make room for the well, I also decided to replace the ironwork that came with the diorama kit. It was far too thick and over scale, so I replaced it with some very nice wrought iron fence photoetch from TechStar that I've had sitting in my stash for just some time like this.
Lots of filler, lots of cutting...Still a lot of work to do yet...
also, might yet replace the lamp post with a resin set from RoyalModel...
