Sara's a fast girl.

I had a minor brainwave this morning. I recently started playing around with UV resin. Because it sets up so quick, it's easier to make into shapes. I used a wedge of silicon I made as a sort of spatula to substitute for the hull. As a bonus it tends to make random splash shapes which are kind of cool and help support the water foam.

I did the rest of the water too. It's still drying so the whitecaps will disappear. It's a little too sparkly for my liking, but I'll see what it's like when it dries all the way. I can probably tone it down with maybe a satin coat.

Look at this! Your water base, even though flat calm, shows a rhythm and frequency of it's surface. Water is not "random" as some "Experts" claim. It has a frequency and direction. Ships passing along the sea rarely have turbulence all along the waterline of the vessel, but this is a fine example! Better still for your first effort! 8/10!

Thanks! I know what you mean about overdoing it with the turbulence, but in this case it's to depict Sara moving at what I'm guessing is flank speed.

I may touch up the bow wave later, but now I'm getting back to the ship itself. The kit is pretty easy, but I've got photoetch rails, radars, and 3D-printed guns... lots of guns.
