KA-GO by fine molds

So why are you scratch building the engine, can it be seen under the cowl?

Well, call me crazy if you must . This is a Storch but the intake/engine are similar.

A black hole strikes me as out of sort :hmmm

I am back at the bench. :)

Nothing Earth shaking but I did figure out how to install the engine .

After some thinking, I decided that it would be best to attach it to the front cowl but I had to figure a way to keep everything properly align

It was then reinforced with a half piece of tubing to ensure it would stay put :D

Finally , it had to be shortened to a 6 cylinder in order for it to fit :bang head . Oh well, I expected that , so if a judge should figure this out there might be consequences :bat

So, tonight it'll be time to make some exhaust pipes and close it up :good:

Thanks for looking . Cheers, Christian B)

Fayetteville is not in the Raleigh area...well I guess relatively.

Looks good Chris :popcorn

Thanks Bob ....As you can see, the plot is still developing

Ok, you got me there :idonno I was just trying to keep the explanations brief for those not living here :frantic

I don't live in Charlotte either but the distance is similar although the traffic was much better :snoopy

Very cool build! what a pretty little thing it is! If a female pilot, from Illinois took command, would it become, perhaps, a She-Ka-GO?
For the record, ALL Ice is BAD! I should know! :drunk

Hello all . Did not get as far as I thought I might . Wedding, car show and Mother's day tomorrow :frantic

What's a modeller to do ?

Anyhow I did some progress , although it wasn't the walk in the park I had hoped for .
None of these pieces fit except by force or other means . Namely grinding down to fit :bang head . So much for the brand name

The nose cowl as well as the tail cone had to be ground to a fit.

The fit of the tail plane and the twin rudders were also hectic and required filler.

Thanks for looking. As a bonus to you gear heads I will post pictures of some Americana under a different forum.
