Yea, he's a big guy and had to lose a lot of weight too.
Decided to attach the struts before painting in order to get a good glue bond. Same for the tail. I'm planning to paint it all white before applying the decals. Gary S.

Managed to get the struts glued in place. The wing is not glued on yet. Gary S.

The model is ready for paint and then painted for the application of the decals. Some touch up is needed. Gary S.

The upper cowling, struts and sides of excel wing are painted dark green. Started the application of the lozenge decals. I want to let it set before attempting the side decals. Gary S.

After piecing 5 sections of decals, the upper lozenge is on. Some minor t ouch up is needed as if that is a surprise. The instructions say to use lozenge on the excel wing. I've seen others who painted it the same colors as the wing.

The lower lozenge is on and in the process I broke off the axel wing which worked out well for painting it later. The up side tail stripes were also applied. Now the Solvaset has to do it's thing.

The lower tail stripes are on along with the engine assess panel. Also the wings upper surface has it's first color using craft paint and a well worn flat brush to give a streaked look. I guess I'm doing it right. Gary S.

Thanks! It's going to be a fairly color full model when all done. The underside of the wings will be purple and light blue. Gary S.

The tail and fuselage decals are on with some touch needed. Also the axle wing and top of wing are painted. Gary S.
