All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Well I've been reconstructing cut off access panels from my 1/48 Hobbycraft CF-100 Mk.V kit that i'd scavanged some parts from.I fitted thin Evergreen strips or thin plastic along tthe edges of the panels, let then cure then carefully ground and sanded them to fit back into the fuselage. I'll be banging this together into a wheels up model and I might backdate it to a Mk.IV but I don't know if I want to build two gunsights. I've orderd a resin CF-100 "CLUNK" cockpit update set for my other Mk.IV model but that set doesn't come with a gunsight.

Look at any images of the Mk.IV and you'll see just how prominent that gunsight is. It really stands out.

Cheers from Peter

Taking vacation day, Cindy out of school so we figure to take a little road trip with Ma-in-Law and Gary up to the mountains and pick some apples and stuff. Nice easy day, out of range of the cell phone. Check y'all later this evening. :mpup

Nice, Bob, nice... hope you have a very relaxing day! :zen :zen :zen

Meanwhile, my back has decided that it is time to go crazy and start cramping... I have taken the allowable dose of muscle relaxers and they have done NADA!!!!!!!!

why do I have to be allergic to narcotics? Some strong drugs would be great about now.

Oh, No!!!!!!! The kids are coming.... run for the hills!!! :soldier

Shalom Barney.

Check out massage therapy. It's simply astounding what they can do a lot of times to relieve pain. Many times a problem that's being treated with drugs can be alleviated with massage therapy. That's because many times thte condition and pain is caused by tight muscles etcetera. I had chronic pain that was diagnosed as sciatica but was in fact being cause by tight muscles near tthe sciatic nerve and not the sciatic nerve itself. Yet tests showed that it was the sciatic nerve. That muscle is known by massage therapists to be a great mimicker of tthe sciatic nerve and that sciatica is often diagnosed in error.

Also, due to many overly tight muscles it was recommendedthat I get physio-therapy but ONLY after i had massage therapy to loosen everything or else the physio-therapy would only cause more and sever damage not fix the problem. When I was getting the massage therapy treatments I was amazed at how much better i got and how much pain relief there was even after a visit or two.

I sure hope you feel better soon.

Cheers from Peter

I know where it is but never ate there. Will do next time Chris. We ended up not making it all the way up to Hendersonville. Went up to Hwy 11 north of Greenville and jogged over past Caesars Head and into Bevard then back down thru Pickens and Anderson. OK the last two not so much a destination... :rotf

We had a good time and only racked up 200 miles. :mpup

Well I have a "pre-screening lab" tomorrow for that job. Sounds like it is basically a way for them to show off the company and make you take some quiz before they even do an interview. I've never had so many steps for applying for a job. But it sounds like it is their way to weed out the people that are only applying to cover their own butts for unemployment. If it goes well there will be an interview on Thursday. So this basically means I might not be working at all this week :rotf Doesn't make sense for me to make the round trip of 250 miles for possibly one day of work. To bad all of my airbrushing stuff is over there :bang head

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Had my pre screening lab yesterday. Passed it with a 96% which was one of the highest in the class. So I have a face to face interview tomorrow at 8am. That will be the final step in the hiring process. I might be back home in Bend sooner than I thought :yipee Which will mean some actual bench time for me.

Okay sick of being sick. Had a possible kidnry stone which caused me some grief. Its not bothering me today, but the drugs have kicked the stuffing out of me. So tired and dopey.

Awesome costume. I will have to post mine after Halloween. Sarah and I sewed our own this year. Finally found her a hobby to spend her money one :rotf Means I don't feel as bad when I buy new kits.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

I thought buying you models is her hobby Ryan

Love the costume Ryan (y) Makes me wish Holyween was done here also :bang head

Nice costume Sherman! She's looking good; and well-armed to fend off all the candy bandits!

James, I feel your pain. I just got over a cold myself last week and while I was recovering; someone broke into my truck and stole my registration, proof of insurance and radio. Nothing like having to deal with all that while getting over a cold! I always seem to get kicked while I'm down. It's too bad that when things are going well, I don't get boosted higher; no, I always only get kicked while I'm down.

Anyway, more bench time for me so far; hopefully this time I'll get something done this time. Next week I start a job repairing someone's house.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Had my face to face interview today. Just heard back from my cousin that he just signed off on the paperwork and that I am officially hired :yipee :yipee He wasn't in on the interview but said that they were very impressed with how well I did throughout the whole process. So now after 30 days I will be getting 401k, paid time off, medical, vision, and dental insurance. Pay isn't as good as the Forest Service, but it is a permanent job and not seasonal like the Forest Service was. The decrease in pay won't make a difference since I was paying out enough to work out of town to make this new job actually pay a tad more after those added expenses. More bench time at home for me now :yipee :yipee :yipee :yipee
