So my job was to read the Great Pumpkin to them on the Trick or Treat nature trail-- perfect conditions for the kindergarteners and first graders-- just the right amount of spooky fog:

And for the uninitiated Whovians out there Huge fan of Dr. Who-- especially the tenth doctor-- David Tennant-

My rendition-- I'm not nearly so young or skinny- and I only possess one suit- but the kids were digging it-

Awesome costume. Been slowly getting into Dr. Who, but have been busy working my way through every Star Trek episode.

Avoiding trick or treaters...

After fighting the good fight all day, I came home to a $775 phone bill. Child #3 went to Mexico and didn't bother to tell me do I could buy the coverage package. AT&T reduced he charges by 50%.

SWMBO and I are indulging on some excellent Chinese food and then we both need winter gloves.

Jeeves, that pic of the trail looks just like someplace that you'd encounter the Headless Horseman! I love it!

Heading out soon to a friend's and fellow IPMS member's church harvest festival. He's the pastor and so this will be a fun day. Later I'm going to a dinner concert given by my own church's choir. What a great day I'm going to have!

Spent the weekend in Columbus visiting friends, going to an Honor Flight Celebration and visiting the Columbus Zoo. Now it is back in the saddle... papers to grade, a quiz to write and I am having a heart stress test in the morning... Oh Boy! :yipee

I'm up at 3:30 in the morning to make one of my final 130 mile trips back to work for the week. It will be so nice to not have to deal with this anymore in two weeks. :yipee

Having a heart stress test... Ask my students, I don't have a heart so how can it be stressed ?

No trunk or treat at church for us. Ian had an ear infection all week and we stayed home. Renee and I did attend our dog trainer/friend's open house Saturday. Indoor training facility for service dogs and the SWLA Obedience Club. Molly brought three of her dogs and Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue brought too. Saint, a big male Pittie, mauled me with kisses.

I'm battling the flu. Got it Friday. Ate some sardines last night. BIG MISTAKE! Can still taste them.

At least I'm able to read again.
