1/96 scale USS Constitution build.

Your build is looking excellent so far. This is the process with these old kits. They can be built up to a high standard, but it does take a LOT of work. Keep it up! You will have something worth while when done!

Working on cleaning up the flashing on the Quarter Gallery windows. On my kit some were completely covered. View attachment 139493
The windows still need work. I'll git 'em though. The pic also shows the difference thickening the hull made to the gun deck. I think the work it took was worth it. The still black area in the gun port openings was the kit's thickness.

After figuring out how to change my Nikon D3500's image size I'm using it now for the pics. My old Android, with a busted camera lens was not cutting it!

Shot the hull with some black to see how the Bridle ports (the forward most cannon ports I got rid of) look. They were directly under the Catheads. They look fine to me👍

This is fun to watch! Your 1/96 Model differs greatly from my 1/700 version.
Because it should.
Because it's bigger!
Because it has lots more detail!
My dumb comment just doesn't get any smarter sounding, does it? :smack:
I know what a "Cathead" is. :vgood:

Making the eyelets (30 per side) for the cannon's Breech lines. The kit is designed for one continuous line to represent the Breech lines. I thought I'd attempt to represent them as one line per cannon, as they are meant to be, even though they won't be seen when the spar deck is added. Why?, because I'm a masochist...🤪
