If it is the same plastic surgeon working on noses, I know him too! I don't need ferry tanks but will need to make my earlier cowling. How many Fairy Tanks do you think you'll want? I know a Guy..................
If the pour-stub was the front of the cowling, I can see how that might work as a 2-part mold. Mebbe. Let me turn it over in my old, addled head a bit. The other factor to consider is, does anyone else already make these cowlings in 1/48?If it is the same plastic surgeon working on noses, I know him too! Nope, only the later variety. However, I am making progress on converting two late cowlings to the intermediate one. Simply increasing the size of the cowl covers that hand under the wing and adding formed cowls for the rest of the exhaust pipes. Scratching the nose is a lot more difficult. The other factor to consider is, does anyone else already make these cowlings in 1/48?
