Thanks Bob. No, not guitar strings. they are made from bearing seal inner springs. I've always wanted to try the strings though.........Harv :mpup

They are a lot better looking than the half round stuff that comes molded in place sometimes. Git'er done Harv!

Looking good. Another good hose material is the filament in incandescent lights with some white glue.

Looking way cool , Harv! Looks like the resin rear fairing fit pretty well. This is going to be spectacular- cheers!

Rob, James and Chuck...Thank you all for the great comments. This is what keeps me going on it! I love this build.. And Chuck, sofar all of Jerry Rutman's parts fit very well. Good stuff!............Harv :silly:

Yo Harv,

The more I look at your cockpit pictures, the more I expect some tiny little guy to come running and jump into it: you've done a superb job there, mate!

I'm in need of some resin parts that, to my knowledge, only JRutmann makes and that seem to be out of stock nearly everywhere. But I'm sending you a pm so as not to hijack your Thread... ;)

Cheers and thanks for sharing! B)

A bit of an update. A small one. Started working on the nose, and radar set up.I can never say enough about Jerry's parts. Just perfect! Got everything drilled, pinned and ready to glue. First time using thin ca. Boy it comes out fast! And leaves a big mess with lots of fingerprints! Well, I'll get to practice more scribing. Enjoy..............Harv (y)

Man Harv, this looks great. You should be proud of that canopy. You gotta wonder how long those radar units lasted sitting up under 4 .50s and a 20mm. All that rattling going on is going to knock some vacuum tubes loose.

Harv,

Glad you are feeling up to posting! Of course, your work is now at the standard I am expecting of you which means your are on the mend.

Regards,

A friend on another site is going to send me some pics of the radar pit. Cant wait! I want to get er done. So maybe by next weekend (I hope) I'll have more pics......Harv :silly:
