    Re: Model Show Competition Etiquette

Re: Model Show Competition Etiquette I believe that the gentleman in question is attending Regional IIRC Sanctioned Shows - His Rommel figure has more medals than the Actual Field Marshall had ..... Just sayin'.

Elevated deck plate for the turret crew but no deck plate for the radio op. / driver. They would enter the tank via their hatches and drop straight down into their seats so they didn't have to maneuver over the axles anyway. rb

    Making Scale Vehicle Mud Effects

Making Realistic Vehicle Mud Effects Weathering can greatly enhance any military vehicle model and one of the easiest weathering effects you can recreate is mud. There are several suitable mediums that can be used to recreate scale “Mud” such as plaster, resins and epoxies but I prefer to use...

1/35 Academy TIger I (Early) with interior

I need to start on a couple of the sub-assemblies on the Tiger, just enough to "Fit" the crew figures. I'm going to try building the crew first this time, then finish the tank around them. Normally I do it the other way around.:hmmm:

    Making Scale Canvas and Tarps

For years I have made my own scale model canvas and tarps from facial tissues. Toilet paper usually proves too porous in appearance for most scales and does not hold up as well as facial tissue when wet. You will need scissors, facial tissue, white glue (I use Elmers), a soft paint brush and a...

    Need help painting 1/35 weapons

Typing paper works best for me. I usually brush a 50/50 mix of PVA Glue and water on a 6" x 4" piece, let it dry and cut it to size. I normally paint them either khaki, brown or black depending but always after I have glued them to the weapon or equipment. rb

    Need help painting 1/35 weapons

I use regular tap water when applying via brush and they shoot reasonably well through my airbrush once I've found the proper rubbing alcohol to paint ratio. Airbrush cleans up with straight Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol. The only drawback is having to mix your own colors. This can be achieved...
