WNW DH9a WIP"UPDATE #17""FINI"

Re: WINGNUT WINGS DH9a WIP"UPDATE #5"

Oops! I have to correct myself. The Bristol F2B in the 2nd video did not use the same engine. The DH9A used a Liberty engine and the Bristol used a Rolls Royce eagle.

Here's a video of a Liberty engine;

Re: WINGNUT WINGS DH9a WIP"UPDATE #5"

Not exactly the same engine, but similar and probably sounds much the same:

This video features an aircraft using exactly the same engine:

In my opinion, the guy swinging the prop has the least desireable aviation career.

Rob thanks for the videos. I will watch later after work. If would be neat incorperate the sound with the display of the finished model.

Hey Terry,

I've been following this and I never knew you were so skilled at building aircraft! The cockpit and the engine are stunning!

Looking fantastic Man!(y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

Re: WINGNUT WINGS DH9a WIP"UPDATE #6"

Well last night while some paint was drying on the Betty I started adding the ignition leads to one of the distributers. I got about half installed before my eyes crossed. First I drilled .010 holes next to the wire plugs and then added the wires. I trimmed and formed the wires to meet up with the ignition wire tube on top of the engine. I still have to repeat this for the other half of this distributer and then for one on the other side. Here's a couple of pictures of what I'm talking about. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

You better keep building I want to see that Gotha done. It's got to be huge. What's wing span?

Thanks James
