Man I was on a roll but something was not quite right and the investigation proved that
the AB needle was bent really bad at the tip. :( Beats me as to how it got that way.

Three tornadoes and a bent needle, what a day. :cheer:
Tony Lee :)

Tony, I have fixed bent needle a couple of times if you're in a lurch. put the bent needle on a hard surface, steel if you have it, and role it with another flat hard surface, like the bunt end of a tweezers. roll it back and forth and it should straiten out. Picked that up from one of Chukw's updates. He did it straitening out some wire.

Yeah I did that today and got most of it out. I got some real fine stones so in the morning i'm going to try and polish out what's left. Worth a try big guy. :woohoo:

Hiya Tony.

I see the weather has warmed up some around your area (y) . It is nice to see some color on these. And for the Moon Pup / Chuk tip, I always used a piece of glass for that.

The AB needle is all plumb and true again. :woohoo:

It stormed and rained for about 12 hours today but the bench area was high and dry. ;)
Made a personal gear storage box and put some (right or wrong???) color on my Lysol wipe.

I just hung it over the side but when I get the tie down loops installed i'll make some straps and hang it properly.

Thanks for looking and ALL comments welcome you know
Tony Lee :)

Did you do something bad?

You could just tell her you will go to the corner instead of getting another paddling :pinch: .

Yeah Coop I did and John confirmed the error of my ways. The carpet  goes in the trash and it's back to the lab for more research and experimenting. :S

After while people

Using a coffee filter didn't work to well so I borrowed a Kleenex from the wife and at least you can work it but i'm not real happy with how rough it is. That's a pretty close picture and it looks better at a normal distance.

Can I get away with this one or do I keep trying???
Thanks
Tony Lee :)

It's not suppose to be a tarp Pup I was trying to make it look like a piece of carpet.

Failed Again

Thanks my Friend :woohoo:
Tony Lee :)

Moving in the right direction, but you can do better. Strange color for carpet, I think you need an oriental.

So you're saying you are trying to make a "Pershing" rug? :pinch:

I would go for a nice Berber myself. Or possibly even a good hardwood floor  ;) .

Or if you have a good printer, you might consider using this great site. And just experiment to see what you could print on to get diffrent results. My suggestion would be to try tissue paper like you get in the box when you buy fancy dress shirts and such. And you can also buy the stuff in difrent colors at most craft stores. It is better than just paper, because it is both thinner, and does not have any fibers to deal with as you paint and weather like regular paper. Give em a try.

Here is the site that these came from. And there are lots of things besides carpets and rugs you can get from here. And don't worry. They are intended to be downloaded for free from the site. You can find more carpets and rugs about half way down the page.
