You can see what i mean by varying the coats you can change the colour depth and of course the undercoat gives you even more shade options. what first struck me with this paint is was how fine the pigment is, on a really smooth surface it goes on like glass. Your colour looks really good , i wonder what it would look like with a light green or dark green under coat.

I really like how the zenith shading on the fabric ripples came out, disregard the overspray, my CDL mix was behaving badly.

Tamiya Dark yellow or buff for the base, I forget and then burnt umber and something else...sorry didn't pay attention to the name, the lighter shade.

Sorry to see the paint spill Bob. It always hurts when there is a waste like that. At least it wasn't all over the build so that is at least the other thing that could have happened.

I find it better to decant the paint straight from the bottle to the airbrush and miss the bench part out. that said i do like the effect you are getting on the wings, very tidy.

Agreed, my liquor comes in short squat bottles, the exact opposite of the wimmen I prefer!

See, someone like Greg or James would print themselves a topple proof base to hold them.

I have not had too much of an issue with the paint, but the glue was a whole different story. I have an Ambroid Pro Weld bottle and a bottle that was filled with Zip Kicker. They were both the same size and fit perfectly into these plastic connectors I found at Lowe's. I added a small wad of Silly Putty into the bottom of the hole and pressed the bottles into it. I can remove them fairly easily, but they don't move unless I "MAKE" them move. The lids twist off easily with one hand and one side holds a paint brush for the glue, and the other side has a couple of tubes for some metal dippers that I use to apply the accelerant to CA.

The shade/ filter on the body is working really well and the prop is beautiful, maybe one of the best wood effects on a prop i have seen done for a while

Well I'm kinda tickled that my home brew CDL of white and dark yellow is right in the middle of MRPs versions of CDL and bleached CDL.

Seal coat will be put on this and then some washes, should blend it some.

Waiting on some Gaspatch stuff to show up I decided to button up the engine.

There's some oil lines I couldn't get installed but that's ok, you can't see them anyway.

There's some flarings that go over the valve covers that need thinning before install.

@paddy you wondered how the MRP paint behaved with other color undercoats. The panels around the gun are a good example. Those were my test parts for the AK (really, AK thinner doesn't work with some AK Paints?) PC10 and 12 test. You can still see some of the red under the forward panel. Also of note is the dead flat of those two panels vers the gloss primer of AlcladII.
