Use the kit tools unless they really look bad. The PE stuff looks like kit parts after they are painted. PE is great for scale thickness, but honestly, unless you are hell bent on authenticity, the kit stuff is pretty good. :drinks

Who is it by Matts? Aber is the coolest, but it is insanity intensive stuff.
Try once you have bent the bracket placing it on 2 sided tape and continueing the build. It shouldnt move as you use both hands to control the rest, and if you drop a piece it should hit the tape and stay. Just be careful taking it off the tape.

Mats it's pick and choose on PE. There's been plenty of pieces I've picked up and said it ain't no way this is getting built!

As James said get some good sticky double sided tape, and make sure you have plenty of
strong magnification and light.

:hmmm Sometimes no fun at all! More 2d than 3d effect so scratchbuilding is alternative maby that´s the reason for the large count of unused parts in my case.

All the best! :drinks
Dusan.

I use both. If the kit part looks ok, I'll go with it. You have to watch, some of the brass sets
have items that don't match up with the real thing. In some cases the brass is better.

I know my limitations, the screens look really great, but I can't deal with that super small stuff!!

Hi Bagge,

What most others said: only if it is a real important improvement.
Otherwise just leave it, sometimes plastic is much better.

thanks for all the replies :) i've been working with it and i managed to make one clamp and the bottom parts for 3 more. the plastic ones just looked like square blobs so it will be an improvement when finnished, see my SWS halftrack topic.
