Excellent question and thank you for asking.
JD is the particular model or engine designation for this brand of motorcycle.
If you do a search of this brand of motorcycle along with JD, you will find all the information you need.
That Is what I did for ALL my research and photo information with this build.

I do have an extensive collection of motorcycle reference books, but they have been boxed up since my last move a year ago and don't consult them anymore. All my research is done on the internet (exclusively) now.

That is another great question and I apologize for not bringing that detail up with the above photos.

Yes, Evergreen styrene tubing is used for the frame works.
The curves and bends are either heat formed around a radius die or cold formed formed with my fingers.
The top frame tube does have an aluminum tubing core that helps hold the bend.

Styrene tubing fitted for footboard rear mount.
Tubing will be cut flush when glue is set.

Engine Cradle Framework.
The subassembly is shaping up with sharp edges starting to 'soften' up.

Bottom Triple Tree Conversion.

Tapered I-Beam Springer Fork Legs Formed From Styrene Strip With Flatten Aluminum Tubing Core.

I-Beam Lower legs fitted to converted triple tree.
Upper Legs (aluminum tubing) bent with flat pliers.
Further conversion to triple tree will be of narrowing profile.
