Tamiya Hanomag Sdkfz251 : Thanks & Over and out!

Tamiya Hanomag Sdkfz251 - scratches.

Think by the time you get some washes over it some of the scratches you think is over done will blend right in. Good job Bill. :soldier

Tamiya Hanomag Sdkfz251 - scratches.

Used & abused. Nice look and as was just said with some 'filth' it will all blend together. Great work, Bill.

Very nice Bill, excellent Job on those tracks, I'm still working on mine, I just got buried up in Customer work, last month I said, to heck with it, I'm working on My stuff, didn't last Customer service is my motto, so I must do their bidding. The paint you do is outta this world My friend :soldier

Thanks, Randy!

Dried mud (top photo)and wet mud (bottom photo) were applied as a mix enamels mixed with plaster of paris. ( It looks like the wet mud should have been darker - note to self). I find this is where you have to be careful that you don't cover up all of your previous work. The corollary would be that if you are going to be covering up wheels, wheel wells, and hull bottoms with mud, then don't sweat the finish at the early and mid paint stages.(Eh ?).

Time to get those tracks on and gunner locked and loaded.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Bill

Thanks P.S.

OK, so lets get off the ball (see previous photo, or out of Pilates class) and onto tracks.
It got a coat of Testor’s dull cote (flat lacquer) to knock down the shine around the large decals. They are still kind of shiny to my eye. (?)
Getting close now. Thanks for your nice comments and your continued patience.

Cheers,

Bill

Be careful with that clear coat, it'll eat right though everything. It looks sharp Bill, and the figure, nailed it! :popcorn
