Tamiya Gloster Meteor F1 + V1 Flying Bomb

:nothingtoad I can't think of anything funny about PE :( Looks good though. Hate you're having sucg a tuff time. Especially with a Tamiya kit.

Cheers, Christian B)

you always prevail Phil, this is not the kit not to. may the Schwartz be with you.

Phil it's looking great, glad to see you dabbing into the weathering, those panel lines really make it pop!(y)

Used YD Q as a reference - Tamiya's attempt is somewhat nose down.

A deliberate non flash pic showing panel line accents before outside sunlight negates this effect. ;)

Re: Tamiya Gloster Meteor F1 + V1 * Done! *

Really nice finish Phil! I think the nose down comes from the front strut being extended in real life and on the model it looks compressed. A little surgery could correct that but why bother? Well done sir!! (y)

Looks fantastic. You can always put the nose down to extra rounds for the guns and a keg hidden away for that over night trip to another base. :D (y) (y) (y) (y)

Thankyou all for the kind replies on this tricky build

If anyone does have or purchases one of these I think it would be wise to check the fit of most of the parts carefully - from my experience with this one the tolerances are very tight, landing gear locating pins were very tight for one example, these should of been shaved down with a nice sharp blade before gluing, one of mine went in ok dry, but as soon as the glue hit the plastic it grabbed half way in.

This caused much troubles as it broke trying to remove it needing a brass rod insertion into the gear leg and snapped off gear tab.

It could use a tiny more weight in the nose-cone too, it sits ok but a small tap on the tail makes it squat

Kinda deja vu there..................
