That's correct Christian, prob my bad choice of wording, the Mr Metal is Gunze which works beautifully over the Tamiya A/S and T/S rattle cans.

I just use a soft rag to rub/polish the Mr Metal paint.

Thanks Phil I love the Gunze aqueous line of paints . I'm very impressed with the outcome of the rattle cans.

Will have to look around as the brand is hard to find here . Which Gunze please ???

The Hobby town did but stopped carrying it the second time we stopped by . At least the Aqueous paints

Sprue Bros has the rattle cans. Now, I need to know which one to get.....

Mr Metal Aluminum MC 218

I shake the bottle then spray it straight, no thinner.

Tamiya A/S 12 is bare metal silver - drys and hardens very fast

T/S 17 is gloss aluminium - drys & hardens slower, I leave it alone for a good day to be safe, but that's my preference.

I see it's their new line of paint and I can airbrush it :woohoo:

OK time to get this bird back on track.

decals finished tonight then onto the final stages.

did a bit of fine tuning to the shine, and have to be careful with the mig wash in the panel lines as it seriously screws with the high shine, more soon.

Thanks Bob, yes Testors metalizer sealer for buffing and non buffing metal finish, I did spray it very light with it this time.

figs half completed, board under construction, got some insane ground cover to use will reveal a little later!


a little more done, prop blades to be flatcoated, tempted and prob will flatcoat the checker nose by sealing the rest in a plastic bag
