So, what do you do for a living?

I guess I've been sort of a working gypsy. After college worked as a silversmith for several years. have done time in a steel mill and in a semi. Worked as a deckhand and pilot on Mississippi harbor tugs. Had an antique restoration shop and worked with a friend at his custom millwright shop here in GA. Done the farming thing for a few years and am currently working for the U.S.P.S as a contract driver. I have never taken a weeks paid vacation :java :gogo

Good for you, Barney: now that's good news!!! (y)

Very interesting Thread: goes to show how a diverse bunch we are. ;) I for one have been working at a hydroelectric powerplant, but in the environmental area - no, I am NOT a tree-hugger!!! I deal with the elimination, or lessening of the impacts caused by the construction of the dam. In other words, I've been working with agriiculture, reforestation, wild animals, fishes and specially people, for the last 30 years. I'll be retiring next January, when I hope to have a lotta time for modeling... ;) Ah! Before coming to my present job, I worked for ten years doing other things. :)

Anyway, Chukw's job is still the killer!

Cheers! B)

I am currently working as an Archaeological Technician for the United States Forest Service. I get paid to basically hike around the forest and look at old stuff. Now this is my kind of job lol.

Sounds perfect to me,Ryan.Alas I have too much of a knee problem to do so.

I work at a packaging department of a beverage wholesale,not really a 'rock 'n roll' job I know,working with
beer crates and barrels.[but I do know my beer brands]

Greetings,Ron.

Hmmm after reading about some of the cool jobs some of you do I looked back to see it I had written any thing. Last time I wrote I had just been hired by Staples after losing my job as the Curator for the Cold Lake Air Force Museum. Guess I should update it again. I'm back to being a technician working on the CF-18 Flight sim. Looked to see if there was anything on the net that would show what I do and found this old article. Gives a bit of an idea where I am. http://www.casr.ca/bg-af-cf18-adcts-project.htm
