Update on this build and me in general. I never found the missing sprues. I have another kit on backorder because I DO want to finish this.
I started
@Rhino 's Coast Guard cutter but during our 7-10 degrees and 4 days no power fest the resin warped from the cold. Newly cast parts coming for that as well. Thank you Chris for excellent customer service!
I am still caring for my mom who's dimentia seems to get worse every single day. It is a major time and sanity suck, and I am a wretched nurse. Nurse Wretched is what Gail call's me. At least we could laugh about it earlier this week when I tried to give her a spoonful of medicine and she had to chase the spoon and it got more on her than in her. We nearly rolled on the floor in laughter. It was actually fun. I shouted "I suck at this!" and it started again. Fortunately we have gotten some help a couple days per week for MY mental health. I have put my '65 Mustang Coupe restoration on hold for a bit.
I am currently building a 1/12 scale Revell Camaro. It is not going easily, but of course I am doing to myself by opening doors and trunk, folding seats, metal gear shifter, 3d printed hood hinges (designed by me. They look like they will work though), and 3d printed rotor discs (no idea how to add them to the kit wheels) LOL.
I had a customer ask about wooden ship models so I have started carrying some. I have OcCre and Model Shipway brands. I have gotten the Diana for myself. I am not sure whether to start it or not, but I am leaning toward yes. With an estimated 500 hour build time that is about a year's build for me.
I know less than nothing about sailing ships so the learning curve will be long and distinguished! She is a beauty though.
Back pain limits my modeling sessions to about an hour at a time, 2 or 3 times per day. Currently, as I type, I am down for the count with opioids, gabapentin, & muscle relaxers starting to work. No, I am not addicted to opioids and have no intensions of doing so, and only have episodes like this a couple days per week where I need the strong stuff.
So, sorry for being a ghost! I do look in on you guys more often than I leave comments. All of you are important to me whether we have met IRL or not. I have left all social media except this. I didn't even know my country was at war until 2 days ago for crying out loud. I guess I need to watch the news more than "never".
