Baby- AMT's Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala

I had 1970 Ford Torinos. Ford Motor Company's Luxury Mover. One was a 302/C4 automatic car. The other, "The Troublemaker", was a competition orange, 429 top loader 4-speed GT. "GT" stood for "Get a Ticket" or "Get in Trouble". I could go from my house to my sister's place in Papillion, Nebraska in 6 beers. She was comfy and fast as a thief.

My first was a '72 Monte Carlo. White with white vinyl top. Bench seats front and back with no obstructions. GREAT for making out LOL. They were black cloth seats though so they stained easily 😇. Fastest I ever dared go was 120mph before good sense kicked in. Who knows how fast it would go. Man, I loved that car so much. A friend totaled it. I would like to find a model of it. Maybe I can 3D model it.

On evilBay, I did find the '71 Monte Carlo Super Stocker from MPC in 1/25th scale for $37USD shipped: (click to see listings)

Yet, the 1972 Monte Carlo from AMT (one existed from Lindberg as well) the prices are over double!

1970 1/25 Monte with 3D '72 body and bumper? I assume you want the civilian version with the aforementioned "Playpen", right?

Yeah, it would be cool to build our first car. We had a gold '76 MC also but was not nearly as awesome.

Thanks Chris, but it is time to admit defeat. I bit off more than I could chew even though I was certain I would be able to do it. If the guy from A4 Garage can do it then so can I!...apparently not. It is in the bin; I will not fish it out again. On to brighter horizons. Next is a Volkswagen T1 Bus. This thread is finished.

10/10 for trying Greg. I get it, i came unstuck with my e-type jag build a while back, it happens. I bet you learned loads for next time and thats a good thing :) onwards and upwards mate

Honestly, it was becoming almost comical in that Iin putting one part together I would break another. I would fix that part and in doing so I would break another. When I broke the hood hinges while handling the car and was going to have to take the entire car apart to fix it I decided to move on. I actually had the doors in a decent place and they worked. But the thought of ripping everything apart after the model had already sucked all the joy out of me just couldn’t be faced.
