Russian Izbas

Hi Guys
I'm going to be starting a Kharkov dio soon and want to include a portion of
a Russian Izba...or small farm house type thing.

I've done some poking around but haven't come up with much. From what I've
found it could be a log cabin sort of structure with fancy windows and shingled,
tar paper or corrugated roof.

Any reference pics would be much appreciated,

Thanks
Tom

Ah, perfect Ron, thanks!

Is that corrugated iron roofing, do you suppose?

Tom

Asbestos Cement. :blink
Asbestos is a cheap source in the former Soviet Union,it's usage goes back to the 19th century, and it's still being used over there to this day on.

In the first link you see the usage of wood and reed as well for the roof parts. :popcorn
