Revell FW-190- A8 "Sturmbock" 1/32

I'm quite happy with how i have got the machine gun mounts to fit and tie in with the firewall bearing in mind the fire wall is part of the lower wing so it has to line up with quite a few other parts.
Anyway we are back on course. I have been unable to find a definitive yes or no for the centre line machine guns. so i am going with the pilots comments above rather than Revell and Hasegawa missing items.,

Some pictures of Revell's infamous thick trailing edges :)

And here we can se the price i had to pay to narrow the cockpit floor to get the gun platform in....

Anyone who has seen my attempts at filling will know this is a challenge for me :) I use AK fine filler but whatever i do with it, it contracts as it dries and i have to repeatedly re apply.

I think i will get away with it Paul i have pulled the sides in a little further forward but not sure i will get eduard engine to fit which is annoying as i had to pull the sides in for the Bloody Eduard gun platform :)

Nail biting session today, there are only 4 points that have to line up with the engine mount but this is resin so there is little flex and they were shaped by Eduard so could be pointing anywhere🤣
I had to remove the panel with the shutter from the RHS as well as it was pushing the engine over a little, if both panels were fitted it wouldn't have been a problem.

the important thing is its pointing forward, its easy to get this pointing up or down or left or right a little and poor Hans then has to fly in circles all day.

You sort of expect problems along the way mixing Revell with Eduard and this one has thrown up a few curve balls.

The bell housing/ reduction gear is too far forward pushing the fan outside the cowling

The distance/position of the front cover/ring is set by the panels between ring and wing root so you cant go wrong here. The engine is to long :). You cant move the engine back, its fixed by its mounts. I only need a couple of mm's but thats quite a bit if you haven't got it :)
Thinking hats on....

By the looks of it you used the Revel side cowlings (seeing light grey colour plastic part )You could then make this side panel a little longer with some plastic strip to match the lenght of the Eduard parts ?

and thats why your engine is to long ?

Not that easy Piet, the eduard panels are the same length as the panel you suggest i lengthen so same length as the kit parts. I would have to lengthen everything.

Rhino.... I cant hollow the back of the fan, i need 2mm and the fan is only 1mm so most i could get is 0.5mm

I will just grind the front of the engine off. It will never be seen and like most eduard parts, they start off looking good but end up being butchered to fit :)

If you look carefully at this pile of rubbish you can just make out an FW190 festering in the mess i work in. I tend to grab 5 mins here and there as i sell motorcycle parts, answer emails, answer 2 phones, get annoyed by Whats app calls and chase the post office for all the parcels they have lost this week...
