Repainting Captured Russian Armor

Tony lee

Master at Arms
As some of you know i'm working on this model:

The weatherman said it's suppose to get warm enough to squirt some paint around here. :woohoo: The question is: How much trouble would the Germans go to in repainting a green Russian tank? Strip off the paint or just paint over it and hit the field??

Thanks
Tony Lee :)

The cover image is based on a photo which shows a completely repainted Su-76M. I would think they would paint over this one. In the case of rebuilt tanks, like the T-34s, they would strip off the old and paint new.

Regards,

So it went something like this: Wash it down and get some paint on it.
The paint wouldn't have stuck very well and would have worn and or chipped off easily if in use for very long?????

If so that gives me an interesting idea for a paint job. Now where did I put that hair spray bottle?

Thanks Saul you're a good man despite what Pup said about you.
