I didn't mean to scare you away from taildraggers, they can be a lot of fun and will make you more secure in nosedraggers. Go find a Cub or an Aeronca Champ with a gray haired instructor and you will be fine.
Thanks John, I wish I could. For one thing I don't have a licence. My piloting goes back 55 or so years ago as a student pilot in a Cessna 150. 36hrs. with 9hr. solo. Plus a little front seat time in a Cobra gunship. And my eyes ain't what they used to be. Oh wait, not just my eyes either. Gary S.
 
Ha ha, Gary. At 76 it's about the same here. The Gunship must have been fun.
Best job ever. My pilot let me try to hover and in the process I did five unintended takeoffs. It's very difficult from the front seat with a short cyclic on the right side console. Gary S.
