It doesn't surprise me at all, that Saul was pleased by Suzanne's T-34.
The P-40 consumes 40 gallons per hour, at A nice, easy, cruise. War emergency power consumed more like 60 gals./hr. T-34 is a teeny bit less expensive to fly.
The Rockwell P-51 was a sponsored Airshow act & advertisement. Bob Hoover was their employee during that time, and flew an AMAZING routine. I was priveleged enough to witness this only 2 times. Have a look-see, at what that clever, humble old Flying Wizard does with an Aero Shrike Commander

An Honored Veteran, and one of the few to have his pilot's liscence at 80+ years old.
God Love U, R.A. (Bob) Hoover! See U on the other side.
