Looking ahead to a future project i have been looking for pictures of an Airco DH9 . Its a very rare aircraft now and pictures are hard to find. HAC have a flying example but they dont allow downloads etc of pictures from their website however. Its now up for sale and the seller agents have published some exemplary pictures that can be downloaded.

I have the WNW model and these pictures are essential viewing. I was curious about the turnbuckles as they do vary a lot especially on late war models. I was about to buy some cast metal examples but looking here i can see they would be quite wrong which shows the value of research.
I hope these will be of interest to others..

Gaspatch has the best turnbuckles IMHO but I really haven't kept up with the offerings we get from the 3d printing world now. Bob's buckles are most functional but they don't end up looking exactly right.

You want those images Paddy, I can pull them down for ya.

I downloaded them for myself Bob but i didnt want to use your band width on them. So long as the link works people can get them if they want them.

I looked as gaspatch but they dont do the type i would need where the turn buckle is on the end of the wire with just a loop fixing to the wing, i will probably make my own a bit like bobs buckles. cheaper as well :)
