My daughter's school art show submission

This my daughter’s (age 9 years) submission for her school art show. It is the Academy 1/35 th scale Stuart. We did a side by side group build with a pair of these models this last winter. She did all the assembly and painting and weathering after a simple demonstration by me. Tamiya acrylics base coat, Valejo acrylics camo. hand painted, and an enamel pin wash. I was really impressed on how it came out. I made the base, and the acrylic case came from Michael’s art supply. Big fun!

Cheers,

Bill

Very nice job. And from a 9 year old girl at that. You are indeed a good teacher. Great desert color scheme.

Hey Bill, you know we have the Cadet Basic Training section on the forum

https://www.modelersalliance.com/forum/cadet-basic-training

If you'd like. She could post her work (or you could post for her) there and make me jealous and posibly get some good tips and instructions from other folks. It's a moderated forum so only approved messages are posted on that section.

Oh man, you daughter has done stunning work! That is brilliant and far outshines mine! She can even do WASHES!!! I can't do them to save my life and yet her's looks like a pro! :notworthy You want proof? check out my latest post under my 2012 Workbench! :vmad I'd give my left leg to do washes as well as she does.

Congrats to her I say! Bloody well done! (y) (y)
