Moon Puppy's Big Bone...

The instructions are fine, over simplified but they get the job done. I know there are those who have built these cans and have done a good job, I think my attitude towards then lately has sucked and is probably effecting the outcome more than anything.

It's set 48499. Thanks Chuck, but don't worry about it, I have put the Bone on the top shelf for now, going to finish this PBR in short order and do the Mustang afterwards. Then I'll come back to it with a fresh perspective.

There's a set on Ebay right now. If I get them, cool, if not, I think I'm going with the kit burners and say the hell with them.

Here's a fist full of trouble for ya..

Did I tell ya this thing is big??

only 1:48 scale thing I have.

Spent a lot of time sanding the ol' bone this weekend, as far as I'm concerned I have the major components complete and I just have to put them all together.

Now I need to figure out that mount!

Holly cow Bob. Even this 1/72 B-25 on that wing would look it was on a flat top  ( if it was finished ).
Glad to see you're hanging tough. B)

She's a big'in for sure. What I need to do now is figure out how to mount it. I have to holes drilled in the bottom of the center part of the fuselage, now I just need to decide how to have it attach to whatever support I come up with.

You're going to have to clear a space in the garage to finish the assembly, as big as that is!! :ro:

If we were kids, we could take care of this space issue, cherry bombs and pellet guns! Seriously, I really don't know where I'm going to store this when done, in the frige maybe??

Thank you Laura but trust me, they are nasty...I hope to get them covered over and hidden some how, hope the overall scheme of the aircraft will focus away from the burners.

The Ebay offering of the resin cans got over $50.00, that was my limit. They have a Buy Now offering for $80 that I had no intention of touching. Sat down last night and sanded and filled and made it all work.

Pup that's one big plane!!! It's gonna look great in the end.

Ther is nothing like watching one's expenses to motivate one to do better!

Thinking of painting in modules because the size of this thing. Then touch up the two attachment points. I'll paint the wings, nose, nacelles (spelled it right) and tail separate, assembled and paint the midsection getting the seams between assemblies.

Now...Mount and Scheme?

I don't see why you are whining about the tail feathers they look great to me in the photos, I think you are being too hard on yourself ! Looking forward to seeing your artistry on the paint job !

Where are you planning to display this beastie? That would impact suggestions for the base. :idonno
