Wow! just freakin WOW!

Thanks! :woohoo:

So, I've been doing lots and lots- and even a little modeling! I think I've pushed this build over the hump- and for a screen saver of Hannah and Fritzi see my blog: here

Oh nice work Hannah and Fritzi , the Canopy and frame have turned out marvelous :) .

Is "Pacing" foam the same as packing foam ?

Jenny

Hi Chuck,
Have been following the 410 build since the beginning. Whenever I think that you surely hit the top, you pull yet out another hat trick.
Thanks for the canopy building forum. It answered some of my age old questions.

Regards, Christian

Ok - I just totally enjoyed reading this thread and now I'm late DOH... :silly:
Oh well I don't mind it was worth it.

What else can you say but great read, great project, great description.

Whew! Thanks, everybody! Sometimes I think this thing is never gonna get done- but I an't quittin'! Let's see- start masking the canopy with the Eduard masks, modifying them as I go to fit my canopy, add the PE to the cockpit, detail up the rear gun controls, add the 4 gun sights, Detail the inners of the two hatches- heck, it'll be a breeze. Oh, then fit the thing on and blend it in- I think I'll use furnace tape for that. Easy! :blink

Oh, and Moon- pretty is as pretty does.

Over the hump and picking up speed. It's nice to be adding parts to this bale of hay! We'll get by as long as Hannah can keep the General at bay, right, Hannah?

What a payoff for all the hard work! But really, that's some major roll cage for this thing. When you think of other aircraft of the era that had little to no protection from roll overs. Wonder if this was some other use or structural support.

That is gorgeous Chuck. It is just awesome. Wish my Dad was still around to see this build. He would have loved it.

Thanks, Kameraden! :D

A brief but pithy update- I tried an old balsa trick with styrene- and it worked!
