Let's weather the turret! I added some pastel powder suspended mineral spirits. Applied some streaking with oil paint. Added some minor chipping with Tamiya NATO Black. Sealed the whole thing with Model Master flat enamel.

I like the outcome . Really integrated the yellow markings with the green paint .

What is the difference between suspended mineral spirits and white spirit ?

I really don't know. I like mineral spirits because it evaporates fast and doesn't seem to damage acrylic paint. I need to make it plane the pastel powder was applied like a pin wash and not over the whole model. I blended the decals in by doing some more dry brushing with a very light olive green and the flat coat helped things out as well.

Thanks

Well , the white spirit is difficult to come by for sure ( AK interactive only in US. ). Where do you find the suspended mineral spirits ? I might want to try try it out in the future.

Well I get it at WalMart, but it should be available at hardware stores or home improvement stores.

Tried Googeling that T but nothing specific came up. Wallyworld is not hard to come by though. Can you be more specific on the item . I'm sure they'll have it locally . Just need to get the right item the on the first try :D

Thanks T .... that should be foolproof :D

I see the problem now . You stated " suspended mineral spirits " That does not pull up anything in particular.

That is a much better price than the AK white spirit as well.
