LVT-4 carrying 105mm...

And work continues on the Summer build...base is an ongoing work...when I tried to push the bunker down in the sand, I ended up pushing in the thin resin on top...grrr.....going to have to build it up here and there instead....

More weathering needed on the LVT....

More buildup under the bunker to do here too...

And here too...

Got to work on figures some more...have to resculpt a couple....work on the base extras, etc....loads to do....

OK...not sure about the tank...but also not sure how to fix things...it doesn't seem to be sunk in enough even though I pressed down on it-- maybe the sand on this part of the beach is packed down?? What say you all?? Still have to add the Marine holding a captured flag outside the pillbox door...

OK...got some more weathering and details done...

First off...that awkward moment when you realize you are out of Turpenoid...

Now that the LVT is off base...I can add some details to the figgies...some gear on the dead Japanese soldier...the leg injury was due to a sprue cutting mishap...but I am thinking I might just cover up that leg with some sand as it looks a bit gruesome...

More on flag dude...is there a way to make these Archer flags look more like flags and less like Archer? I followed Woody's video tut to the tee-- but I don't like the looks of the flag...

I also like "I pick things up...I put them down" dude!

OK-- I was kidding before about the Turp...but really-- the dot filter is really a lesson in faith...putting all those dots of paint all over your model and them streaking them initially it looks like you just ruined everything...but I think it looks good now-- maybe a tad bit more blending...

Front definitely needs more....

Yeah the dot filter helped. Maybe some sand on the suspension sponson?

Also maybe you could add some palm tree leaves in brwons, yellows and green. I would just cut them out of paper and paint them.

I love what you are doing! (y)

Still need to add the pigments and foliage-- but after some more washes-- here is where I am at:

Soma#$%@#$ Again, how did you post these and I didn't see this.

Yeah that dot filter can be scary Mike, looks like you did a good job. One thing I'm learning in this stuff is you want to build up layer on layer on layer on layers. Just keep reading what folks are doing and keep adding layers...

I like it, wish I could help with the flag but I like it. :popcorn

Thanks Bob!

I think the pigments will tie everything in together...as far as the flag goes, maybe just a layer of flat is all that is needed...we'll see...
