Libyan Technical

I have started on the Meng Toyota truck.

It will be a Libyan Technical. Not too thrilled with the black plastic as it feels softer than usual and kind of rubbery. Sanding it reminds me of those old car models where you get the gritty black residue. The kit is well engineered so far though and I am pretty happy with it. Pics tonight when I get home from work.

Okay got the chassis done. Most of the interior is done. Sub assemblies ready for painting.

Got some resin tires "DEF Model Technical Pick Up Truck Sagged Wheel Set "from Sprue Brothers andthey are very nice.

And test fitted.

Once this is done its the gun.

Okay now I'm annoyed. I got the windows cut out on the side because all the pics I've seen they are rolled down. Did some more work on the gun. Got the doo dads in the truck and dash decal in. Put the body on and glued it and then tried to get the bed on. It wouldnt play. Finally got it seated and the body popped up in the back. It defies my attempts to reseat it. And every time I do try I'm hearing things snap in the chassis. Time to get ready for work. I like the truck, but I dont like the plastic or the fiddly bits. Almost time to put this away and start a tank....or plane.
