Of course there's interest in seeing that Moonbus. Bring it on.

TheCatcollection is growing = primarily the leopard Cats.

I have the old/ancient Italeri Leopard 1A4 kit and I havethe Hobby Boss Leopard 2A6M kit. Through gifts and purchases I recently acquired the Tamiya Leopard 1,the Tamiya Leopaard 1A4, the Tamiya Leopard 2A6 and the Tamiya Gepard anti-aircraft defense vehicle.

Interesting to see/hear some of the reviews on You Tube. One dude states that because of the similarity of the rear sides to the Panther that the Leopard is a developement of the Panther tank. A lot of reviews can be taken with a grain of salt.

Hey there...
You may recall a couple of years back I built the Hobbyboss Leo in just three weeks as a cure for AMS that I was 'suffering'.

I am no Leo accuracy expert by any means but the BIG plus that I found with the Hobbyboss 2A4 kit - and I'm guessing your 2A6 will be the same root kit - was this... it's so d*mn easy to build. Took one session each for the running gear, hull and turret total bench time of just over three hours and I had a fully built MBT ready for paint.

Downside is, soft detail and toy-like tracks. Can't speak to the old Italeri 1A4 but I believe their 'Leopard II' is still very good indeed and can be found in a Revell box aswell if you're lucky - our own ReconRon built his from the Revell boxing. I've no idea at all about the Tamiya kits so can't help you there.

Not sure if all this helps, good luck with the project tho'

Ian.

Hi there and thanks.

I know that some of the older Tamiya kits are NOT the most accurate. However, they are good enough for MY needs/wants.

The biggest issue with the Hobby Boss A6M*2 kit is drilling all the right holes for the slat armour. I'm using the kit slat armour since I have absolutely no interest in fiddling with PE slat armour.

The Italeri Leopard 1A4 kit is still considered to be one of the best Leo 1 kits out there. I have the resin conversion for it to make a Canadian C2 Late variant.

I also have a Leopard 2 power pack.

M* standsforthe extra mine protection b elly armour.

Nice scores man! The box art on the V-2 is most interesting! Certainly a different perspective I would not have considered.

Glad you have one on the way Paul! If you decide to show the engines, you might look into finding a couple of these by HPH. The engines in the kit are Way, WAY wrong. HK really screwed up and have the cylinders too small and the rockers for the valves way too big with pushrods on both the front AND back of each cylinder. :facepalm :bang head

HPH made them right, though they are a bit more tricky to build.

Think you will enjoy the build Paul. I guess I will need to get those engines for my B-25, thanks for the heads up.
