The tank conversion really looks interesting! Am looking forward to seeing your take on that Mossie Paul!

This little beast showed up on my doorstep about 9pm last night. :blink

The Tamiya store put it on special last weekend and it was quite a bit cheaper than I had seen it before. It pays sometimes to subscribe to Fine Scale Modeler.

One of the pitfalls of Christmas shopping is Christmas shopping. Went nuts and saw a few new kits that just sort of attached themselves to me,an orphaned new book, and a deal I couldn't pass up on some WNW kits with extras. Sigh. I think Tony will get a kick out of the SPG though.

I know nothing about tanks either but my guess is thats an SPG as it has no turret :)

I've been good at resisting the urge for awhile. But I've finally failed. :smack

Stumbled across a couple good deals to add to my Ruskie stash. The 23 I figure would pair up nicely with the Su-24 I got from Saul, while the ZiL has potential diorama material paired with my ZSU.

I also came across a guy offloading some old leftovers from the Accurate Miniatures closing. No decals, some have no boxes...but cheap. Figured a lot of times I'm getting AM decals anyways to fit a kit into a particular timeframe or area for a GB, so the lack of decals wasn't that big of a deal for me. He gave me a bit of a break on shipping as I ordered a few. A pair of F-4s, a SBD, a FW-190 (kinda surprised I have no WWII Luftwaffe in the stash), and a Il-2 (I blame Gary)...working out to $10 a piece shipped. He still has a few kits left if you're interested in seeing what he has. Search his store for "Accurate". http://stores.ebay.com/108spoplar?_dmd=1&_nkw=accurate

Finally!

I've been waiting to get this kit since I missed the first release. I even though about paying the ludicrous collector price until I got wind it was being re-released.

I've had it on preorder, then got skunked (another thread will explain) and jumped on it as soon as it hit the shelves...

I'm not buying the lighting kit, but going my own route. I've learned enough Arduino and C++ to be dangerous, so...I'm off. Have a pile of gearboxes and LEDs, will sort it out and get myself to the bench.

Looks good Jeff! I might have to get with you about Arduino and programming. (lots that I want to do with the giant Falcon kit) Then there are the NX-01 and refit "E" kits. Saw one of the revised saucers when I was in Tulsa last. It was just the saucer so you could use it with the original release TOS "E" and get rid of the panel lines etc.

Plenty large Eh!

The Arduino stuff is amazing. I've been meaning to pick it up for a while, the sub guys use them for control at depth, but I figured it was way too much to try to learn. This kit put me over the edge with it since the lighting kit is $140, but a starter Arduino kit was under $70. That kit showed me everything I needed to really get involved with servos and stepper motors in a way I couldn't dream of before.

I'm working out a few animation projects that are sound activated. There's no limit to the possibilities.
