I was very surprised to find the mail lady had delivered a package while I was out today. Must be close to Christmas if they are delivering on Sundays. Anyways it was a pleasant surprise.

How does the glider look James? I have been eyeballing that kit for a bit, but keep getting distracted.

Have also been doing the BF thing though only really stumbled on to one decent deal. It will be on my porch probably later in the week.

This last week though busted the budget again. That is OK though, Shouldn't be spending much between now and after New Year's. Here are the latest finds.

Nice Haul guys.

Paul, you basically bought my wish list. You know me better than my wife. :D

For the life of me I can't figure out why they didn't go 1/35 on the Chariot so it can be used with the Jupiter 2.

Are the tracks rubber band or styrene? I sense a RC project in my future if the tracks are suitable.

Seems like I saw something about a 1/35th Chariot, but couldn't say for sure at the moment Jeff. The 1/24th kit is nice, but not quite big enough for RC. It has rubber tires on the wheels and the wide tracks are rubbery. Looking at the build pics in the instructions, the rubber tracks are like 2 1/2 times wider than the tires. The pics look like the center parts bulge out around the front tire and the rear idler. Might have to make some more solid ones, but that looks to be about the only real negative I see on the kit. It is clean, the clear plastic parts are clear and have very little to no distortion (which surprises the fire out of me as it is 8 x 4 x 3 inches) (approx) There just isn't enough space for servos, batteries, or motors. I can take some more pics later if you would like.

The Seaview is huge (just like the movie one which I also have) Always liked the 4 window TV one better though. It is probably big enough to actually make a basic RC sub out of it. I know someone made the 1/350 movie Enterprise into an RC submarine and flies it around in his swimming pool. The Seaview would work as well.

James, the Nautilus really looks to be a sweet kit. There is an interior in the center area and the side glass is quite clear and distortion free (as busy as it is) The only thing I question is the bridge area and windows. Not a kit flaw but a design decision and it just doesn't look right to me. Hey not a biggie, can leave it or change it if I choose. Might even try and put some lighting inside. That would really make it look cool.

LOL!! Brookhurst Hobbies out here has been advertising that. They have a game club and game room too and are talking about doing a 'tournament' playoff type thing with this game. I'm just gonna stick with my models; although I might get work painting those figures for some guys who want to enhance their game.

Looking good Gerry. Nice idea.

Sharkman, nice Rita. I built one of those ages ago. It was a most interesting build and quite fun.

I'm not much of an armour builder but I couldn't resist the idea of a bright yellow tank. Just need to order a Tamiya T-55 donor kit to go with it.
