Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions

Nice acquisitions. I managed to pick up the old Airfix C-130K with the Bloodhound missile set included. I may have overspent, although I did get them to knock $20.00 off the price. The wings are pretty badly warped, but not so much that it can't be fixed. I just have to figure out the best way to do it. As I have several other large aircraft to build; I'll take my time on figuring that out.

Pics forthcoming.

Also, I "acquired" a Second Place for Dora at the Desert Classic contest; pics will be forthcoming for that too. More importantly, I found out about more things to fix to make this bad girl better!

Very Nice Chris!

Is that next on the bench after the Gotha?

Hi Dave . I'm afraid not :S , I have to get back to the KI-46 and the Grace .

I will probably build it on the side while trying to do a Halifax .

I had been watching Sword Models grind out the Japanese inventory and hoping the would do the Myrt . Before this, only the very old Aoshima version and the 1990's Fujimi offerings were available. I think this one will be more self sufficient ( looks good in the box :D )

Adam, now that you mention it, it does bear a resemblance to a limo. Only a two seater though . Need to check it for a Sake bar :rotf

Who are the Snipes and Canadian Fokker decals by? Where could I get them? Thanks in advance.

They are also from Pheon Decals. Their website is still under construction, www.pheondecals.com, but you can send them an e-mail (it won't let me add it here) and they will send you a current price and availability list of decal sheets.

The Snipe/Fokker sheet is *32044 and was GBP 7.50 plus GBP 3.95 as it is a smaller sheet. The normal per order shipping is GBP 4.95 as most of their sheets are A4.

Rowan & Sabine Broadbent were very good to deal with.

Sent them one. Which Fokkers do they call for and is it the early Snipes? Thanks Rich, more WNW's in my future I see :D

Latest Acquisitions

It is the early Snipe with the smaller rudder. The first two Fokkers are OAW built and the third is the Knowlton Museum Fokker which is an Albatros built fuselage with the wings, tail planes, ailerons and elevators from OAW.

I am going to have to have some more info on those seat belts James because they seem to be what I need.

I'll try and experiment with one set and show the results. I used the German ones on my Me 163 and quite liked it. Someone else might pipe up and give their thoughts also later on.

Few more things came in. Some stuff for my Revel Bf 109, and some books. The Top Color one has some very neat markings for my next few Me 163s and the markings to go with them.
